The Bollywood Style celebration of Independence Day in Melbourne

The Indian Film fervor reached to its peak when the veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor hoisted national flag of India at Federation Square, Melbourne on 13th August. Melbourne saw a record swarm at Federation Square to mark the celebrations of 70th Indian Independence Day. Amid loud cheers and applause, Indian flag was unfurled by the actor alongside Indian High Commissioner Navdeep Suri. Rishi Kapoor’s better half, yesteryear actress Neetu Kapoor and Manika Jain, the Indian Consul General in Melbourne were also present at the event.

Chief Guest at the event Rishi Kapoor spread the message of peace and love and said India speaks to the brilliance of the past, the present minute’s quality and is advancing with trusts and longs for a brighter future. “India has made its imprint through its quality, society, legacy and trustworthiness”. “The world today perceives India’s quality and its enormous commitment to wellbeing, training, political and otherworldly framework”, he said.

Along with the flag hoisting, federation square also witness the different colors from Indian culture in the form of Dance and Music. There was the sea of talent as the stage woke up in a showcase of hues, power and remarkable vitality. To add the glamour quotient to the event beautiful bollywood Actress Malakia Arora Khan and Richa Chadda shook the leg with the dancers.

 

These actors from Indian film Industry came to Melbourne to participate in the ongoing Indian Film Festival of Melbourne activities, and Flag hoisting ceremony was the part of Festival.
